Do you know your body age?

We all have a chronological age, which is simply the number of years you have been alive since you were born or the age you will be at your next birthday. But do you know that your body may be older or even younger than your real chronological age?

We call that your body age.

But what is your body's age? Your body age is really just a measurement of how old you are biologically based upon your health and fitness level. For example, someone who is forty years old may have a body age that is ten years younger but it could also be 10 or even 20 years older.

Finding out your body age can often be a reality check but can also serve as a powerful motivator to encourage you to work toward improving your overall health.

There are many ways to find out your body age, but one of the simplest is through a body composition check that measures your weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat percentage, muscle percentage, visceral fat as well as a few other parameters. It is a simple measurement done by standing on a specialized scale that can help to measure all this.

It takes less than a minute to measure and is noninvasive (doesn’t require a blood prick). I know many of you have had your body age measured and I know the results for many have been revealing, sometimes frightening but always help to draw your attention to the need to improve or maintain your health.

Have you had a body age test? When was it last done?

Doing a body age test can change your life. And you have nothing to lose besides being more aware of your health. Remember that lack of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean you are healthy. You may have some areas that need improvement but aren’t aware.
